This morning we were amazed to see a beautiful rainbow as we travelled to school.

Rainbow
Red is the colour of the flaming dragon blowing out fire.
Orange is the colour of a sparkling monarch butterfly.
Yellow is the colour of a gleaming safety jacket.
Green is the colour of a cactus gleaming in the hot sun.
Blue is the colour of the sparkling ocean shining in the sun.
Indigo is the colour of deep dark caves.
Violet is the colour of the shiny cutter in room three.

Koru The Kiwi

Cecile,Wendy and Koru came to visit our school. We had a water safety competition and some children received prizes. Lots of children had hugs and high fives from Koru. We can't wait until next swimming season.

Kereru

Ruby and her Dad have been looking after a Kereru which banged into their window and damaged it's wing. The good news is the kereru is all better and has flown back to his home in the forest. We were really lucky to see a kereru in our classroom.

Gymnastics Fun

We have been having lots of fun at the New Plymouth School of Gymnastics learning to jump, balance, forward and backward roll and walk along the high beam. It's been really good for our hand eye coordination.

Aren't we great!

SNOW !

THE EXCITING DAY

What a snowtastic morning! When I woke up there was crunchy munchy snow up on the Kaitake Ranges. I played on the tramp and Fletcher bounced tramp to tramp. It snowed 40 years ago in Oakura and it snowed today! At my house I had jack frost come to visit my house. I hope snow comes to my house again.

SNOW DAY

We had a snow drift at our house. Hayley and I had a snow fight. Our tables were covered in snow. It is the first time I have seen snow at our house. When I woke up snow was on the roof. It was the funniest snow day ever.

VERY, VERY, VERY FUN

What fun! In the morning I dressed very warm and I went outside. I saw little flaky things blowing throught the air. It was snowing! I ran around and I noticed that if you step on snow it disappears. Snow is very fun!

THE EXCITING DAY

How fun! White little puffy balls floating down from the sky. Me and Scarlett ate the snow. I got some ice on the letter boxes. My Dad looked in the mail boxes to find it. The cars were covered in snow. The snow felt cold. I like snow!

THE SNOWY DAY

What a big surprise! In the morning there was lots of funny white drops of water coming down from the sky. Then I realised what it was, it was snow! Then it got even heavier and heavier! Doris my dog was outside then she came inside, and went into her bed. The snow was soft, crunchy and light. I had a super morning.
